Shopping with Avery Peace

1. Is all Avery Peace jewelry available online?

Our site includes a hand-picked selection of Avery Peace jewelry; we feature bestsellers and favorites, in particular. As well, we are continually in the process of developing new designs. Although we attempt to represent our pieces online as quickly as possible, photography restraints sometimes prevent us from doing so. Please contact us for information about pieces not pictured on our website.

2. Will my purchase look like its picture?

We are stringent about our photos, descriptions and measurements. But please be aware that each piece is handcrafted, which can produce subtle variations. However, our jewelry usually surpasses expectations – photographs cannot do justice to the sparkle of the gemstones and the power of the message.

3. Can I place a special order?

Please contact us if you need a special size in a particular piece. In some instances we may be able to accommodate you. Please understand that there may be an additional charge and delayed delivery time.

While Avery Peace prices are indeed subject to change, you can expect to be charged the price listed on our website at the time of your purchase.

5. Do you have a catalog?

We consider our beautiful website to be our catalog. Join our email newsletter to receive updates on our collections. For detailed information about a specific piece, print a PDF of its product detail page.

Jewelry Care

23. How do I care for my Avery Peace jewelry?

Most jewelry can be cleaned using a soft toothbrush and warm soapy water. You can also use conventional liquid jewelry cleaner, available at many stores.

Store jewelry separately to avoid scratching and keep away from heat or direct sunlight. Apply makeup, hairspray and perfume before putting on jewelry. Remove jewelry before doing strenuous activities or using household chemicals. Do not wear jewelry in a swimming pool or hot tub. Chlorine and extreme heat can damage gemstones and metals.

Miscellaneous

24. What is Avery Peace’s position on conflict diamonds?

The funding of armed conflict in Africa through the sale of diamonds is loathsome.  We believe it is our duty not to use conflict diamonds, and we are strongly committed to that core value.  We operate in compliance with the resolutions set forth by the United Nations as well as the Kimberley Process certification scheme.  To the very best of our knowledge, the diamonds used in our jewelry are certified conflict-free; we use only reputable suppliers when purchasing and processing diamonds.  All diamonds that pass through our hands are accompanied by invoices stamped with the affirmative statement of a System of Warranties.

For more information on conflict diamonds, please visit the United Nations and World Diamond Council Web sites at: www.un.org, www.diamondfacts.org

25. Does Avery Peace use ethical gold?

Avery Peace has recently begun researching the possibility of working with “ethically mined gold.” While many mines throughout the world offer “ethically mined gold,” there are currently no universally accepted standards, so it is difficult to ascertain what true “ethical gold” is. However, Avery Peace is deeply committed to the preservation of the environment and promotion of fair employment practices, and we will continue to work toward finding consistent, verifiable sources of certification for ethical gold.

Security and Privacy

26. Where is Avery Peace jewelry produced?

Avery Peace jewelry is entirely handcrafted and produced in New York City. Our designs begin with a sketch. They then move to the fabrication of sterling models, and are finally cast in 18K gold. The stones are individually set by hand.

27. What is Avery Peace’s security policy?

Your online credit card transactions are secure at averypeace.com. We use Secure Socket Layering (SSL), the industry-standard encryption technology that ensures safe internet transmission of your personal information. Making a credit card purchase is just as safe on our web site as it is by telephone.

28. What is Avery Peace’s privacy policy?

To respect your privacy, we guarantee that any and all information you provide will remain strictly confidential and safely stored. No information about the visitors to our site will be sold, shared or made accessible to any entity foreign to Avery Peace.

29. What if I have a question that isn’t answered here?
